The State Board of Elections will hold an in-person meeting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Board Room of the Third Floor of the Dobbs Building, 430 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27603.

Filing for most 2026 contests begins at noon on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, and ends at noon on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.

Personnel changes strengthen essential operations at state elections board

On Nov. 5, the State Board of Elections staff will randomly select precincts, early voting sites, and absentee-by-mail ballots to be counted by hand in the counties with November municipal elections.

Members of the press who wish to attend the press briefing with election officials in person must RSVP.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections, in conjunction with the Office of the State Auditor, wants the public’s input.
