With a drawing and a coin flip, the State Board of Elections on Friday, Dec. 19, randomly determined the order of candidates on the ballot for the 2026 primary and general elections in North Carolina.The 2026 candidate filing period ended at noon Friday. The North Carolina State Board of Elections is sending a second round of Registration Repair letters to voters whose registration records are missing either a driver’s license number (DL#) or the last four digits of their Social Security number (SSN4), as required by state and federal law. These mailings were sent out today.
