Governor Roy Cooper today appointed four Democrats and four Republicans to the State Board of Elections & Ethics Enforcement.
The State Board of Elections & Ethics Enforcement has been in frequent contact with meteorologists regarding Tropical Storm Irma and its expected effect on elections. At this time, all of Tuesday’s elections will proceed as scheduled in the City of Charlotte, Town of Murphy, and Cleveland County.
The Bipartisan State Board of Elections & Ethics Enforcement is aware of concerns regarding voter information requested by the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.

State Board of Elections & Ethics Enforcement: ".....We are actively investigating reported attempts to compromise VR Systems’ electronic poll book software, which is used on Election Day in 21 of North Carolina’s 100 counties to help check in voters who show up to cast ballots in person. The software is not used during early voting and does not play any role in ballot marking or vote tabulation."
