The State Board of Elections is stressing to absentee voters that they must act soon to ensure their ballot is counted, if they have not yet returned their ballot.
As of 8 a.m. Thursday, more than 2 million voters had cast ballots in the 2024 general election in North Carolina, according to preliminary State Board of Elections data.
Election officials will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, outside of an early voting site in Asheville to discuss the start of early voting in the 2024 general election.
