The North Carolina State Board of Elections voted unanimously Tuesday to extend voting at a total of three precincts in three counties until 8:30 p.m. after delays in the opening of polls Tuesday morning.

The State Board of Elections will hold an in-person meeting beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the State Board of Elections office, Third Floor, Dobbs Building, 430 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, N.C.
Meeting materials will be posted on a rolling basis to the State Board’s meeting website.
The State Board of Elections voted unanimously on Tuesday to finalize results of the July 26 elections, held in about 15 N.C. counties.
The State Board also voted unanimously to approve proposed temporary rule amendments governing the conduct of precinct officials and election observers at polling places. These proposed rules will be submitted to the Rules Review Commission for consideration.
