Important Media Advisory: 9th Congressional District Public Evidentiary Hearing

The State Board of Elections will hold a public evidentiary hearing on the 9th Congressional District investigation at 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, at the North Carolina State Bar, 217 E. Edenton St., Raleigh. The hearing may take multiple days, and the State Board has reserved the site from February 18-20.

The State Board of Elections will hold a public evidentiary hearing on the 9th Congressional District investigation at 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, at the North Carolina State Bar, 217 E. Edenton St., Raleigh. The hearing may take multiple days, and the State Board has reserved the site from February 18-20.

All media credential requests must be made to patrick.gannon@ncsbe.gov by 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 13. Please indicate the media outlet and the names of all representatives wishing to attend. (Note: If you requested credentials for the previously scheduled hearing in January, you MUST request them again.)

Media representatives who do not RSVP by the deadline will be admitted with the general public on a first-come, first-served basis until the facility reaches capacity. Seating is limited.

A Notice of Hearing and Amended Order of Proceedings is posted here. Consistent with that order, one video camera and one still photographer will be permitted in the hearing room during the hearing. Video and still images will be shared through a pool process as described below.

Pool Video

Pool video will be provided by WRAL-TV of Raleigh via a mult box with HD-SDI with embedded audio and 1080i video. Outlets will be responsible for recording their own video; there will be no dubs. Questions about pool video should be directed to Keith Baker at kbaker@wral.com or (919) 618-1833.
