The State Board of Elections unanimously approved a plan to attempt to collect missing identification numbers for voters lacking them on the state’s voter rolls.
On Tuesday, June 24, the political party affiliations of about 34,000 North Carolina voters registered with four parties — Constitution, Justice for All, No Labels, and We the People — will be moved to unaffiliated status in the state’s voter registration database.
The five new appointees to the NC State Board of Elections were sworn in to four-year terms on Wednesday, and immediately elected Francis X. De Luca of Wilmington as Board chairman. Member Stacy “Four” Eggers IV was then elected as Board secretary.
