Press Availability: Start of Early Voting and Photo ID Requirement for November Municipal Elections

Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the State Board of Elections, will hold a virtual press availability from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Brinson Bell will give brief remarks about the start of in-person voting across North Carolina for the November 2023 municipal elections, as well as the new photo identification requirements for voting. Then, Brinson Bell and Paul Cox, general counsel at the State Board, will answer questions.

This event is for members of the media only. It will be conducted via WebEx webinar, and registration is required. Information on how to ask questions will be provided at the start of the webinar.
