Absentee Ballot Return Deadline | October 2021 Municipal Elections

Overview

Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, is the civilian absentee ballot return deadline and Election Day for October 2021 municipal elections. The container-return envelope with the voted ballot enclosed must be returned to the voter’s county board of elections no later than 5 p.m.

Absentee ballots received after 5 p.m. on Election Day will be counted only if they are postmarked on or before Election Day and received by mail no later than 5 p.m. on the Friday after the election. Ballots without a postmark must be received by Election Day. Learn about absentee-by-mail voting at Vote By Mail.
