Voters registered as Republican or unaffiliated in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District will go to the polls Tuesday, May 14, to choose who will run as a Republican in the upcoming general election.

The N.C. State Board of Elections on Monday appointed Karen Brinson Bell as the Board’s executive director, the chief state elections official, effective June 1.

Voters in North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District will go to the polls Tuesday, April 30, to cast ballots in the special congressional primary. The district includes 17 counties in Eastern North Carolina and stretches from Camp Lejeune to the Virginia border.

One-Stop, in-person early voting begins Wednesday (April 24) in the Republican primary election for the 9th Congressional District, which includes all or parts of eight counties – Anson, Bladen, Cumberland, Mecklenburg, Richmond, Robeson, Scotland and Union.

“One-Stop,” in-person early voting is under way for primary voters in the 3rd Congressional District, which includes 17 counties in Eastern North Carolina and stretches from Camp Lejeune to the Virginia border. The early voting period ends Friday, April 26.
