For county boards of elections, the deadline for receipt of absentee ballots postmarked by Election Day (November 8), is 5 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022. The deadline would typically be three days after the election -- or Friday, November 11. However, because that is Veterans Day, a state and federal holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day, pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 103-5(a).
