Absentee Ballot Return Deadline | 2022 Statewide General Election

Overview

5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, is the civilian absentee ballot return deadline and Election Day for the 2022 statewide general election. The container-return envelope with the voted ballot enclosed must be returned to the voter’s county board of elections no later than 5 p.m. You may not return your ballot to a polling place on Election Day.

Absentee ballots received after 5 p.m. on Election Day will be counted only if they are postmarked on or before Election Day and received by mail no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, November 14. See Numbered Memo 2022-09: Absentee Ballot Return Deadline (PDF). Ballots without a postmark must be received by Election Day. Learn about absentee-by-mail voting at Vote By Mail.
