About the Election Results Dashboard

Overview

On election night, stay up-to-date with our Election Results Dashboard, where you can:

  • View live election results, updated every 5–10 minutes after all polls close.
  • Explore data via breakout maps, tables, and charts.
  • Download election results data spreadsheets.
  • Access historical election results (1992–present).

When is the Dashboard Updated on Election Night?

Once polls close on election night, the dashboard is updated every 5–10 minutes as precincts report results to the State Board of Elections.

How Do I Use the Dashboard?

To view election results, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Dashboard.
  2. Select the desired Election Date; County (for statewide results select “State”); Office; and Contest.
  3. Click “Display Results.”

Don't forget to click “Refresh” to view the most recent results.

Example to view the 2020 Presidential Election results on Election Night:

  1. Go to the Dashboard.
  2. Make the following selections:
    1. Election: 11/03/2020
    2. County: STATE
    3. Office: FEDERAL
    4. Contest: US PRESIDENT
  3. Click “Display Results.”

To explore the election results further:

  1. Perform the steps listed above.
  2. Click “View Contest Details” (right side of page, in dark blue bar).
  3. The “Contest Details” tab provides the total number of votes received by each candidate or ballot item, along with a map showing the winner of each county.
  4. The “Results by Voting Method” tab provides a table with a breakdown of votes cast by method (e.g., in-person on election day, absentee by-mail, etc.).
  5. The “Results by Contest” tab provides a table with a breakdown of votes cast in each county.
