THIS POST HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH NEW INFORMATION.
The Bipartisan State Board of Elections & Ethics Enforcement has moved to the Dobbs Building on North Salisbury Street near the state legislative complex in downtown Raleigh.
Also, the State Board's new main telephone number for the public is (919) 814-0700.
The State Board and its roughly 80 employees will take over the 24,000-square-foot third floor at 430 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh. The floor formerly housed the Department of Insurance. Contractors are replacing aging carpet and repainting the walls in the state-owned building.
At the Dobbs Building, State Board employees will provide all services available at the current locations, including elections administration, investigations, training and intake of campaign finance disclosure reports and statements of economic interest. State Board meetings and public hearings also will be held at the new location.
The former State Board of Elections and State Ethics Commission were combined earlier this year under Session Law 2017-6, and the staffs of both agencies are expected to be housed in the Dobbs Building. The merger remains the subject of a lawsuit, but a provision in the state budget directed the expedited relocation by Sept. 1.
