As required by GS 163-182.1(b)(1), the selection of
a seed number to be used to determine the random selection of sample audit counts
for the May 8, 2012 Primary Election will be made at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 9,
2012 at the Board’s offices at 441 N. Harrington Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27603.

NOW COMES THE
notices the June 7, 2012 new evidentiary hearing on the
election protest involving the 2011 Mt. Gilead Municipal Election. Said
hearing is scheduled to be held at 9:30 am in Board
of Commissioners’ Assembly Room, the Montgomery County Administration Building
(3rd Floor),102 East Spring Street, Troy, NC 27371
The Board will receive any new evidence that the parties in this matter wish to present.

NOTICE
OF FILING PERIOD SUPERIOR COURT DISTRICT 4A
The
North Carolina State Board of Election, under the provisions of GS 163-329, hereby
sets the filing period for the Superior Court seat in Judicial District 4A. Said filing
shall commence on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 and end at the close of business on Monday,
May 7, 2012. The filing shall be conducted
at the State Board of Elections office at 441 North Harrington St., Raleigh, N.C.
27611 and will be conducted during normal business hours, 8 am until 5 pm. For more
